One trap I see a lot of coaches fall for is obsessing over getting new clients VS taking care of clients that are already paying them.
It’s easy to think New Clients = More Growth.
However, the reality is your current customers are one of if not the most important assets inside your business right now (besides your team)
Focusing on serving your current customers is one of the highest ROI activities in your business.
Their results can be used to generate more business.
And, their feedback can be used to shape your coaching program to become the best that it can be.
By focusing on serving your current clients, you increase the chances of retaining them, receiving referrals, and generating more business overall.
There comes a point in every coach’s business where you are so busy and stressed pushing for new business that you lose focus on your current customers.
Sounds simple. But, very few people do this.
I’m not talking about formal chats like – check-ins and responding to Facebook group questions.
I’m talking about natural, off the cuff conversations that demonstrate you care for them
Set yourself a daily non-negotiable of checking in with at least 1-3 clients.
Might be sending a DM, voice note, video or even asking 2-3 clients to hop on a group call for catch up.
No agenda, other than a natural chat to see what’s going on in their world and figure out how you can help them more.
Celebrate your clients’ wins every week and talk about why you love working with them. You don’t need to use their names, but sharing their successes can help demonstrate to potential clients the kind of results they can achieve with your coaching.
Create monthly trainings, events and group skill sessions that empower them with the skills around nutrition, training and mindset. This will give them the confidence and clarity they need to solve the problems they came to you for. By showing your clients that you understand their needs and are actively working to address them, you can improve their experience and keep them coming back for more.
Ultimately, the key to growing your online fitness coaching business is to demonstrate to your clients that you care about them and their success. By prioritizing your existing clients and providing them with the support and resources they need to achieve their goals, you can increase the chances of retaining them and generating more business through happy clients sharing their experience using your service, strong social proof and referrals.
I want to leave you with one very important question…
What can you do more of in order to show your clients that you care?
